I think, there are so many charts and indicators we can refer to make decision.
I usually get contradict ideas from different charts (such as, in 15m and in 5m).
Overall, I think for trading I share that
1) We should learn / build a set of our own trading strategy by referring to only 1 chart. The strategy should include both entry chances and exit strategy. And follow tightly.
2) Be flexible in making real actions based on some minor charts, but should not against our main trading strategy, in order to maintain our discipline.
As what you say, simplicity is the best. I am making towards this.
